Fantan Mojah is coming to the Melkweg in Amsterdam! Fantan Mojah is the musical alias of Jamaican reggae singer Owen Moncrieffe. His music is a powerful blend of roots reggae and dancehall, inspired by artists like Burning Spear and Buju Banton. A devoted Rastafarian, he channels this in his uplifting lyrics, focusing on positivity rather than violence or sex. With his debut album Hail The King in 2005, he achieved international success, and his follow-up albums Stronger and Rasta Got Soul were also very well-received. It has been over ten years since he last performed at the Melkweg, but he’s finally back—with support from Unstoppable Fyah and UG Dias.
