Straight out of Amsterdam, Heights Meditation creates reggae infused with dub, ska, hip-hop, dancehall, and Surinamese influences. Their goal of creating positive, infectious, and energetic music always brings good and festive vibes. Independent and without media attention, their energetic live performances led to a growing audience and fanbase. In a short time, Heights Meditation became one of the most successful underground reggae bands in the Benelux.

From festivals like Afro Latino, Zwarte Cross, Reggae Lake, and Kwaku Summer Festival to lively street parties. From venues like Ahoy, Tivoli, and Oosterpoort to small clubs. A Heights Meditation show is a mix of original material and classics.

Vocalists Otty Ranking & Danny “Mr. Smooth” sing in a unique blend of English, patois, Dutch, and Surinamese. They’re supported by Colin (guitar), Tiv (drums), Murl (bass), Bob (percussion and backing vocals), Deborah (keys), and Jaysen (keys and backing vocals).
