The Slackers | De Mezz, Breda | 19-09-2024

The Slackers are coming to de Mezz in Breda. They formed in Brooklyn in 1991 and have since become one of New York’s most notable ska bands. For over 33 years, the band has toured the world with their unique blend of ska, reggae, and soul, releasing fifteen albums and numerous singles, from “Better Late Than Never” to their self-titled album “The Slackers.” In 2022, they released their latest album, “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya,” which quickly shot to the top of the U.S. Billboard charts.

Currently, they are working on new music and a remake of their album “Close My Eyes” to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Over the years, The Slackers have won over fans worldwide with their fantastic horn section, solid rhythm section, and strong arrangements. This September, it’s MEZZ’s turn to experience their music!
