The Dutch music scene welcomes a unique live act as Paul van Musscher — better known as Paulisme — returns this year with a powerful and refreshing new project.
Known for his unconditional love for music, Paulisme expresses his creativity across multiple projects and genres. As a producer and versatile DJ, he has built a strong reputation, while also making his mark as the frontman of the (P-)Funk band Amsterdelics. Visitors of the Zwarte Cross may also remember him as the lead singer of reggae band De Porders, where he delivered a red, gold, and green tribute to his relative Johnny Jordaan on the Reggaeweide stage.
Dutch-Language Reggae with Depth
This year, Paulisme introduces a new direction with Dutch-language reggae and dub, focusing on themes such as love, life, and wonder. Backed by an impressive group of seasoned musicians — with roots in bands like JAH6, Beef, Bowie’s musical Lazarus, Mala Vita, and The Upsessions — the project delivers a rich and diverse sound.
Their debut single “De Zon” made an immediate impact, winning the Dutch radio segment “Debut in a Minute” on 3FM.
Experience, Energy & Connection
With over 30 years of experience, Paulisme brings more than just music to the stage. His performances are known for their warm, energetic, and sincere vibe — rhythmic, roots-driven, and always focused on connecting with the audience.
And when that energy meets the unique atmosphere of the Zwarte Cross, it creates something truly special — a live experience where music, emotion, and connection come together.
Paulisme is back this year — and stronger than ever. 💚💛❤️
