Double Concert of Two Reggae Legends
The Jamaican roots reggae band Culture rose to fame in 1977 with their debut album Two Sevens Clash, which, thanks to BBC DJ John Peel, even influenced English punk rock bands. Frontman Joseph Hill passed away in 2006, but his son Kenyatta Hill keeps the sacred flame alive, continuing the legacy.
Ijahman Levi also hails from Jamaica but moved to England at the age of 17. After a brief career in R&B and soul music, he found success with roots reggae. His two most famous tracks, “Jah Heavy Load” (1976) and “Are We A Warrior” (1979), have become true classics in the genre!
Don’t miss this incredible night in Utrecht celebrating two reggae icons.
