Belgian reggae dub vocalist MariJah, who has been active for a long time as backing vocalist in several bands (Seekaman, Heartwash) has in recent years become one of the leading vocalists in the Belgian roots and dub scene, thanks to successful collaborations with producers such as Jahmbassador, Unlisted Fanatic and Soul Wire. Meanwhile, she already has several releases including ‘Ego’ (Jah Embassy) and ‘Consciousness’ (Unlisted Fanatic) and very recently she released an Ep with Jah Embassy called ‘Take Care’ with four tracks. Since 2021 she performs with a brand new live band, called “the Root Sense”, consisting out of good friends from the Belgian reggae-dub scene and talented musicians from the Ghent jazz circuit.
