MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST AND ONE-MAN BAND WITH CATCHY DUB AND REGGAE

Pachy García, hailing from Puerto Rico, pays tribute to the reggae pioneers he grew up with. Starting out as a guitarist, he discovered his love for early Jamaican music, which led him to explore piano, bass, and eventually self-taught drumming in Los Angeles. As a multi-instrumentalist and one-man band, he blends South American rhythms with dub and reggae, singing in the Puerto Rican dialect on some tracks. His music transports you to 1970s Jamaica, with influences from dub engineers like Scientist and King Tubby.

This spring, Pachy García will release a new album and bring it to Utrecht for his only headline show in the Netherlands on his tour.
