Rastaplas in the City | Danny Dread’s Birthday Bash | Burgers, Eindhoven | 19-12-2025

Rastaplas Festival is a family festival that has been organized for over 20 years on the Noord AA beach in Zoetermeer. Now that the festival season is over, “Rastaplas In The City” is hosting intimate club nights at various locations around the country. This edition of “Rastaplas In The City” is all about Danny’s birthday bash. I don’t need to explain to regular Rastaplas visitors or reggae-loving people from Eindhoven who Danny is… But anyway—Danny’s birthday deserves a celebration.

What and who can you expect?

THE DUBBELTJES:

“The DuBBeltjes” play improvised Reggae and Dub. They perform live without a fixed setlist. Every show is different, so you never know exactly what to expect—except for a dose of wonderful summery reggae vibes and irresistibly danceable riddims.

CRUCIAL SOUNDS, FADA JEP:

Fada Jep has been a staple of the Eindhoven reggae scene since the early nineties. With his deep love for music and passion for spreading positive vibes, he knows how to touch people. He’s not just a DJ who spins records; Fada Jep creates an experience. He weaves thick, dubby beats together with conscious lyrics that keep resonating long after the music stops.

BOOMSHAKALAK:

Boomshakalak Soundsystem has been bringing the essence of Jamaican music culture to dancefloors since 2009. Anything danceable with a Jamaican vibe is central to their sets. With a mix of Reggae, Dancehall, Afro, and Drum & Bass, Boomshakalak Soundsystem creates a unique experience where music and atmosphere come together perfectly.

BONG SOUNDS:

Bong Productions aka Bong Sounds. A sound with a name that rings loud and a reputation so bright it can be seen from space. This Belgian sound system, cultivated and grown in the backyard of Reggae Geel, has been an unmatched ambassador for the genre since 1996. Selector Rootstuff and MC Charlie send shockwaves through the crowd every time with their mix of Roots and Dancehall, earning their stripes at hundreds of parties across Flanders and far beyond.

Entrance is based on a “pay what you want” donation at the door.
From 18:00 to 20:00, food will be available.
