The Wailers | Doornroosje, Nijmegen | 24-06-2026
The Wailers, the legendary reggae collective of Bob Marley, commemorate Natural Mystic: The Legend Lives On. During this tour, the band will play the entire album live with an ode to Marleyâs iconic message of unity and struggle. Bob Marleyâs influence on the world of music is unmistakable. Natural Mystic shows his deeper, more political and spiritual side. Songs like âAfrica Uniteâ and âSo Much Trouble in the Worldâ are still current. Aston Barrett Jr. has taken over the reins of his father, Marleyâs legendary bass-player Aston âFamilymanâ Barrett, in order to keep the message of the band alive. Next to the bandâs current output, you will hear plenty of legendary Marley classics tonight that keep his legacy alive.
In 2024, Aston Barrett Jr. made his acting debut in the biopic âBob Marley: One Loveâ that came out on 14 February 2024. He played the role of his legendary father Aston âFamilymanâ Barrett. The film offers an intimate glimpse into Marleyâs life during his rise as an artist and his lasting influence on music and culture worldwide. Barrett Jr. gave the film a level of authenticity and a personal touch, acting as the keeper of his fatherâs legacy.
This tour celebrates 40 Years of Positive Vibrations and the show will offer a cross section of the bandâs back catalogue. Fans are treated to a unique mix of nostalgia and modern reggae anthems that turn each concert into a fantastic experience. This will be a night full of hits, warm emotions and good vibes.
