General Jabbah plays a groove-driven blend of reggae, ska, soul and hip-hop. Their music combines danceable rhythms with catchy melodies and a warm, soulful character: familiar yet contemporary, with a sound unmistakably their own. The band has built a strong reputation as a live act and released their new album Jabbah Rock this year!

Since forming in 2013, this Utrecht-based band has developed a distinctive crossover sound, shaped by their broad musical tastes and the members’ diverse cultural backgrounds, including Turkish, Kenyan, Indonesian and Surinamese-Dutch roots.

With the release of their new album, General Jabbah takes their sound to the next level. The band has performed at festivals and venues including MadNes, Boardlife, Surfana, Zwarte Cross, Melkweg, Tivoli, Vera, Victorie, Timboektoe and FAST Surfdorp.

They have also shared the stage with international acts such as The Slackers, The Toasters, Hollie Cook, The Upsessions, Sticky Fingers, Bootleg Rascal and The Beatdown. With their energetic performances, tight grooves and unmistakable vibe, General Jabbah always turns every show into a party!
