Alberto D’Ascola (Alborosie) is born on July 4, 1977, in Marsala, Sicily, Italy. He is a prominent reggae artist known for his dynamic contributions to the genre. Starting his musical journey in the early 1990s, Alborosie was a member of the band Reggae National Tickets. This is one of Italy’s most successful reggae bands. In 2001, he moved to Jamaica to immerse himself in the heart of reggae culture and pursue a solo career.

Alborosie his music is characterized by its authentic reggae sound, blending traditional roots reggae with modern elements. His commitment to the genre is evident in his efforts to use vintage instruments and recording techniques reminiscent of reggae’s golden era. This dedication has earned him respect within the reggae community and among fans worldwide.

Some of his notable albums include “Soul Pirate” (2008), “Escape from Babylon” (2009), and “Sound the System” (2013).
