Third World is coming to Paradiso in Amstedam for a tribute show to Stephen ‘Cat’ Coore. With more than fifty years under their belt, Third World remains one of the most iconic and enduring reggae acts in the world. Formed in Kingston in 1973, the band first gained international recognition as the opening act for Bob Marley & The Wailers before establishing themselves as pioneers of reggae fusion. By seamlessly blending roots reggae with R&B, funk, and pop, they scored global hits such as 96° in the Shade and the dancefloor classic Now That We’ve Found Love.
An essential part of their legendary status is co-founder and guitarist Stephen “Cat” Coore, who was named one of the greatest guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone. With nine Grammy nominations and the prestigious Jamaican Music Icon Award to their name, the band will bring a powerful lineup to Paradiso in 2026. This special performance will be dedicated entirely to celebrating the musical legacy of Cat Coore. Led by bassist Richard Daley and the powerful vocals of AJ Brown, the band will honor the rich history of one of Jamaica’s greatest gifts to the world.
