Meta and the Cornerstones are thrilled to announce the release of their new single, “Lively and Up.” The song is a vibrant and uplifting track that showcases a reel roots reggae sound, produced by Tuviel Levi. With its modern twist, it’s a perfect summer hit.
“Lively and Up” is a reminder of living life and being positive. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Meta Dia, the lead vocalist of the band, shared. “We cannot just accept certain people to claim natural sources like the mountains and the oceans to be their own. These used to be places where we could sit and children could play. This song is a reminder of where we came from: real culture where the music is spreading all around. It’s a reminder to live life and be upful.”
Meta Dia, born and raised in Senegal, West Africa, was influenced by the rich musical traditions of his homeland. From a very young age. In 2002, Meta relocated to the bustling streets of New York where he created his visionary band: the Cornerstones in 2006.
