Fantan Mojah, born Owen Moncrieffe on August 5, 1976, in St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica, is a roots‑reggae singer and devoted Rastafarian. Initially performing as “Mad Killer” and handling chores for the Kilamanjaro sound system in Kingston, he shifted to conscious themes under the guidance of Capleton and adopted his spiritual stage name.

His breakthrough came in 2004 with the single “Hungry,” which topped Jamaican charts for eight weeks. That success led to his debut album, Hail the King (2005), featuring hits like “Hail the King,” “Nuh Build Great Man” (ft. Jah Cure), and “Corruption”. Subsequent albums include Stronger (2008), Rebel I Am (2012), and Soul Rasta (2016) . Known for his uplifting, socially conscious lyrics, Fantan champions praise for Jah, respect for women, and rejection of violence.

I-Wayne

I-Wayne (born Cliffroy Taylor on August 6, 1980, in Portmore, Jamaica) is a leading voice in conscious, roots-reggae. Raised by his aunt and famed keyboardist Ansell Collins, he began performing in school and on local sound systems before his solo breakthrough.

In 2004, his gritty single “Can’t Satisfy Her”—a poignant tale of exploitation—became one of the first roots tracks played on New York’s influential Hot 97 station. His 2005 debut album Lava Ground showcased hits like “Living in Love”, drawing praise for revitalizing reggae’s spiritual essence
