For 20 years, Reggae Central has been bringing the best reggae to Popcentrale. To celebrate this milestone in style, we’ve secured a very special act: none other than Marcus Gad & Tribe! This internationally acclaimed artist, known for his spiritual and genre-blending reggae, is coming to Dordrecht for an exclusive and intimate show. A rare opportunity, as Marcus Gad usually performs at major festivals and large venues.

Born and raised in New Caledonia, Marcus Gad is a true musical freedom fighter. He has been actively making music since the age of 15 and has developed a unique sound that fuses reggae with influences from dub, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and indigenous music. With albums like Chanting (2017), Rhythm of Serenity (2020), Brave New World (2021), and his latest release Ready For Battle (2023), he has built an impressive global reputation.

Together with his band Tribe, he has conquered the stages of major festivals such as Reggae Geel, Rastaplas, Zwarte Cross, Couleur Café, Rototom, Sun Ska, and Summerjam. And now, he’s coming to Popcentrale for a one-of-a-kind club show!

A Milestone to Celebrate

This special show not only marks 20 years of Reggae Central but also celebrates the 20th anniversary of our very own reggae programmer, Lorenzo Stam. Thanks to his passion, we’ve managed to bring Marcus Gad & Tribe to Dordrecht for this exclusive performance. In honor of this special occasion, we’ve set the ticket price symbolically at €20.

Reggae Vibes All Around!

We’re making this night even more special in collaboration with Rastaplas. They’ll transform our venue into a true reggae temple, creating an atmospheric and authentic reggae experience. Of course, DJ Robbie Roots will also be spinning records to keep the vibes alive.
