On the 7th of June 2025 roots reggae band Steel and Stone released their new album Celebration. This album release took place in the jam packed club Sahara in Rotterdam. The band performed the full album alongside survival rastaman Star David who is also featured on the album.

The event had a full program with guest artists who performed on the father-daughter sound system of Out Of Many Soundsystem. Mystic Pulse kicked off the event behind the controls and immediately set the mood right. After his set Steel and Stone did a full and extended performance of the album. The crowd was visibly enjoying the new music and the dancefloor was full of vibes. The afterparty was vocally led by Haroon Ayyaz alongside Out of Many Soundsystem. With further guest artists Zed I and Black Omolo who also performed a set of their music. All together this evening was one for the books.

‘We spend a fair amount of time in creating the right balance of instruments and sound design while creating the blueprint for the album. We wanted to create something that sounded familiar to the roots reggae genre, but also unique in the Steel and Stone type of way.’ I think we did an excellent job in getting it right and the album runs smoothly from top to bottom. Celebration tells a story about the beauty and hardships of holding faith in something more than our selve. To set aside differences and realise we are all one, under the sun. To keep praising Jah, even in tough times. Independently recorded

Celebration was independently recorded by Steel and Stone at Legents Musiq and My Music Live, the mixing and mastering was done by Mystic Pulse. The music varies in style from rock steady, to steppers and dub. The album Celebration consists of 10 tracks, all originally composed and written by Steel and Stone. It has one featuring track with long time reggae artist Star David, with the song called Satra which is sung in his native language Sranan Tongo.

Celebration is available on all digital streaming platforms and will soon also be available on 12′ vinyl.
