Irie Vibes Roots Rally 2025: Irie Vibes Roots Festival & 4AD Are Looking for Talent!
Following previous successful editions, 4AD and the Irie Vibes Roots Festival are once again hosting a Roots Rally this year. They are searching for reggae, dancehall, and ska talent from the Benelux and Northern France. Live bands and solo artists in genres such as reggae, dub, ska, ragga, dancehall, Afro-reggae, and samba-reggae are invited to participate, with registrations opening on January 15.
After reviewing all submissions, the “Artists Team” of the Irie Vibes Roots Festival will select three bands for the Roots Rally Final. A professional jury will then choose the winner of the Roots Rally 2025. At least one finalist will be selected via the vi.be platform.
Final Event Details:
- Date: Easter Monday, April 21
- Location: 4AD Music Club, Diksmuide
Rewards:
All finalist bands will receive a cash prize:
- 3rd place: €200
- 2nd place: €300
- 1st place: €500
In addition, all band members of the three finalists will receive:
- A free weekend ticket for the Irie Vibes Roots Festival
- An exclusive festival T-shirt
The winner will also get the opportunity to open the main stage of the Irie Vibes Roots Festival on Saturday, July 26, with a performance fee of €500 and hospitality included.
How to Participate:
- Registration period: January 15 – February 28
- Eligibility: Bands or artists in the genres reggae, dub, ska, ragga, dancehall, Afro-reggae, and samba-reggae
Submission Guidelines:
- Bands from Flanders and Brussels must register via the vi.be platform.
- Bands from Wallonia, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Northern France (Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Picardy, Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine) should email their submission to rootsrally25@yahoo.com.
