Alpha Blondy and his Solar System band are set te perform at Sun Splash Reggae Festival in The Hague. The worldfamous singer is born Seydou Koné on January 1, 1953. He is a reggae icon from Côte d’Ivoire. Known for his powerful lyrics, he blends reggae rhythms with African influences. Blondy often sings in multiple languages, including English, French, Dioula, Arabic, and Hebrew, making his music globally accessible.

Alpha Blondy’s 1982 debut album, “Jah Glory,” introduced his unique style. Alpha Blondy’s songs promote unity, peace, and social justice. Tracks like “Cocody Rock” and “Jerusalem” remain reggae anthems worldwide. Blondy is inspired by Bob Marley, whose influence is evident in his music.
