A Night of Roots and Rhythm: Julian Marley & The Uprising Live in Utrecht. The English-Jamaican artist Julian Marley is one of the eleven children of reggae icon Bob Marley. Just like his half-brothers Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian, reggae music runs in his veins. The children have also inherited their father’s spirituality and generosity: the four Marleys jointly run the record label Ghetto Youths Crew, which funds projects for underprivileged youth. By now, Julian has released five solo albums — his latest record, Colors Of Royal (2023, made with master producer Antaeus) won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album last year!

In addition to his musical career, Julian Marley is known for his philanthropic work. Alongside his brothers, he co-founded the Ghetto Youths Crew. This is a record label and collective dedicated to supporting young and underprivileged artists. This reflects the Marley family’s long-standing commitment to social justice and empowerment. Julian has released five solo albums. Colors Of Royal (2023), produced by Antaeus, earning him a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
