BeLEEF VK-Art Unseen Archive

What is the BeLEEF VK-Art Archive by Vivienne Kroes about?

EXHIBITION

In this exhibition, created by artist Vivienne Kroes, she presents a powerful series of paintings portraying strong male figures and especially powerful female warriors, fighters, and leaders who resisted oppressive systems and slavery.

The works highlight individuals — past and present — who have meant a great deal to their people, defended their kingdoms, and stood up for rights and freedom. Their stories are expressed through themes of music, leadership, rebellion, and the values they represented: strength, faith, spirituality, lifestyle, conviction, and hope.

The exhibition also sheds light on often forgotten Black history. By reading the description accompanying each painting in this series, visitors will discover the connecting thread that links these chosen figures and subjects — forming Vivienne’s Unseen Art Archive.

AUCTION

In addition to presenting this new collection during the two exhibition days, Vivienne will host an auction on the opening evening featuring selected earlier works.

The proceeds will be invested in showcasing this new collection across Europe and, in 2027, in Africa. She warmly invites your support in helping to realise this artistic vision.

LOCATION

This exhibition takes place at a beautiful location surrounded by nature, where wild horses roam along the banks of the River Rhine. The historic factory structures have been carefully preserved and transformed into a unique cultural venue.

Visitors travelling from further away who wish to turn their visit into a full day experience can stay overnight in atmospheric rooms with a warm, authentic character — each designed in its own style, honouring the history of the building.
