After nearly eight years away from full-length projects, Jamaican reggae icon Chronixx has officially announced his new album, Exile. The project marks his first since the Grammy-nominated Chronology (2017), an album that cemented his place as a global voice for the reggae revival.
The announcement came during Chronixx’s headline set at Reggae Land Festival 2025 in Milton Keynes, UK. In front of thousands of fans, he introduced a brand-new track, “Don’t Be Afraid”, taken directly from the upcoming album. With the words, “This one is called Don’t Be Afraid, from the upcoming album Exile, coming this 2025 — believe it or not,” . Chronixx confirmed what fans have been waiting years to hear: a new era is here.

Chronixx has confirmed a 2025 release, but the exact date is still a mystery. The official track list, collaborations, and producers have not yet been revealed. For now, Don’t Be Afraid is the only confirmed single. It offers a glimpse of the themes and sound fans can expect.
Exile isn’t just an album; it’s the start of a new chapter for Chronixx and reggae itself. With his signature mix of conscious lyrics, soulful delivery, and powerful presence, this release could easily become one of the defining reggae albums of 2025.
