Loddy Culture is a Roots and Culture Selector from Amsterdam. As far as Loddy can recall he has always loved music. Never been a stranger to Reggae Roots and Culture. He says that foundation was laid by his dad who is a musician. He always played his father’s tunes and started collecting records himself. At the same time, the young Loddy and his rastafarian friends are visiting all reggae concerts, festivals and soundsystem events around Europe. Big Bless was among the group of friends who pushed him to play his records in public. Nowadays Loddy Culture plays a wide selection of reggae, from 70s Roots till new Roots and Steppers and not about to stop.
Big Bless (born early 80s Digital era, in Amsterdam) is a reggae deejay/MC who entered the scene as a backup singer in a reggae band called Bless in the early 2000s. Bless was introduced to Rasta roots and culture at a young age by his father, who owned a lots of roots records. Among favourites: Big Youth, Yabby You, Daddy U-Roy , I-Roy, Lee $cratch Perry and Linton Kwesi Johnson. He and his older brother learned about the importance of Lyrics, Riddim, Dubbing, the Vibrations and the Soundsystem. After being an admirer and supporter, Big Bless went to become a roadie, box builder and MC with King Shiloh Soundsystem.
