Prince Jamo & Rootz Lions are once again joining forces for an unforgettable performance. They will come to the P60 in Amstelveen on 17 October. Support act: I&I Foundation. Singer, songwriter, performer, self-taught musician and label owner, prodigious child prodigy Ian Campbell – aka Prince Jamo – has been involved in music all his life.

About Prince Jamo
Born and raised in Birmingham, he began singing in choirs at the age of six and picked up the first instrument at the age of 10, teaching himself to play along with his siblings’ records. He started his first band at the age of 13 and at the age of 17 he became, along with Bonzo B and King Stanley, one of the three founding members of the Ruffneck Trilogy band, which supported artists such as Israel Vibrations, Mighty Diamonds and Roots Radics and signed with London Records and Sony Publishing in 1996.

In 2003, Prince Jamo founded Blackrose Projects, with which he produced and released solo releases and collaborations. Prince Jamo is now a member of the One Nation Sound System and has recently performed live with Scientist Soundsystem, Jah Catalyst Soundsystem, Don Fe, Izyah Davis and at many festivals including Glastonbury, One Love, Rototom, Dub Camp, Garance, Essential, Minhoreggae, Reggae La Concha, Organic Roots and Bielawa.
