Reggae Icon Eek-A-Mouse Returns to the Netherlands for Five Shows

Reggae legend Eek-A-Mouse is set to return to the Netherlands this fall for a series of five concerts. The Jamaican artist is known for his unmistakable voice and playful “biddy beng-beng” scats. He will perform in Tilburg, Amstelveen, Groningen, Hengelo, and The Hague throughout October and November. With his distinctive blend of reggae and dancehall, and classics like Wa-Do-Dem and Ganja Smuggling, the legendary singer promises to once again immerse audiences in his unique musical world.

Born Ripton Joseph Hylton in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1957, Eek-A-Mouse has been a trailblazer in reggae since the late 1970s. His high-pitched nasal vocals, combined with innovative scat singing, set him apart from his peers and helped shape the sound of early dancehall. Songs like Virgin Girl, Wa-Do-Dem, and Anarexol became international hits and remain staples in reggae history. Over the decades, Eek-A-Mouse has maintained a loyal fanbase, captivating audiences with his charismatic stage presence and playful, unpredictable performances.
