Cologne, December 9, 2025 – The first 10 artists have been announced. Only 205 days to go until it’s time to “Catch the Sun”! That’s when some of the most in-demand artists from reggae, dancehall and hip-hop will take over the stages of the Summerjam Festival, turning the 39th edition into an unforgettable festival weekend. From July 3 to July 5, 2026 – a must-attend for every music fan!
Catch the Sun – the motto for 2026
Where in Cologne could you capture the sun better than at Lake Fühlingen while listening to reggae, dancehall & more? Nowhere else! That’s exactly why the motto is a perfect match for Summerjam. “Catch the Sun” also ties into important themes found in reggae music, where nature, spirituality and joy of life have always played a major role.
Especially at the beginning of winter, with dropping temperatures and less sunlight, the longing for summer, sunshine and festivals grows. The anticipation for the upcoming Summerjam can begin—and what better way than with this first line-up release!
The first acts for 2026
Burning Spear is an absolute roots reggae legend who has shaped the genre for over 50 years. With songs like “Slavery Days” or “Hail H.I.M.”. A must-see live act for every reggae fan!
With Original Koffee and Lila Iké, a new generation of Jamaican reggae artists takes the stage. Blending roots sounds with modern influences from soul, R&B and hip-hop. They also highlight the depth, spirituality and female perspectives within today’s reggae scene.
Bonez MC performed with Vybz Kartel on the Red Stage in 2025. Now, in 2026, the rapper returns as one of the headliners. He is not only a founding member of the 187 Strassenbande but also one of Germany’s most successful rappers.
Jamaican dancehall artist Dexta Daps impresses with his smooth voice and captivating stage presence.
No one less than a son of Bob Marley will be part of Summerjam next year: Ky-Mani Marley. He is known for hits like “Hustler” and “New Heights”, brings his own reggae sound—his voice reminiscent of his legendary father.
With Christopher Martin, one of the most exciting international voices in modern reggae takes the Summerjam stage. His charismatic presence is sure to captivate the crowd.
With Bausa and OG Keemo, two defining voices of German-language hip-hop will perform. Showing just how diverse the genre can be. While Bausa often focuses on themes of love and heartbreak. OG Keemo’s lyrics dive into street reality, crime and experiences of racism.
From reggae and dancehall from Jamaica to hip-hop from Germany, the journey continues to reggae from France. Dub Inc began by blending dub and metal, not yet knowing where their musical path would lead. Today, they’re one of the most successful French reggae bands with a truly distinctive sound.

With these first 10 acts, Summerjam once again proves that it offers a top-tier selection of artists. They go beyond reggae, making it one of the most important festivals for urban music.
“We’re already excited to reveal more line-up highlights for the 39th edition of Summerjam in the new year. For now, we’re looking forward to the already sold-out benefit concert ‘Rise Up Jamaica’ this coming weekend. Not only will a lot of money be raised—Summerjam will double the donations up to €25,000. The proceeds will go to Jamaica to support rebuilding efforts after the devastating Hurricane Melissa. That’s where our festival has its roots.”
