Eek-A-Mouse is coming to the Netherlands early next year the mouse will perform two shows: one in Utrecht and one in Deventer. Eek-A-Mouse, born Ripton Hylton in 1957, is a pioneering figure in reggae and dancehall. Known for his distinctive vocal style, blending traditional reggae with a singjay delivery (a mix of singing and DJing), he gained fame in the late 1970s and 1980s. His eccentric stage name was inspired by a losing racehorse he frequently bet on.

Eek-A-Mouse’s sound is characterized by quirky, humorous lyrics and unique vocal effects like his signature “biddy beng beng.” Hits like “Wa-Do-Dem” and “Ganja Smuggling” brought him international recognition.
