Clinton Fearon is a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, and bassist, best known for his work with The Gladiators and his successful solo career. Born in 1951 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, he joined The Gladiators in the late 1960s as a bassist and vocalist, contributing to their signature roots reggae sound. Fearon played a key role in classic albums like Trenchtown Mix Up (1976) and Proverbial Reggae (1978).
After relocating to Seattle in the late 1980s, he formed Clinton Fearon & The Boogie Brown Band, blending roots reggae with elements of jazz and blues. His solo albums, such as Disturb the Devil (1995), Vision (2006), and Breaking News (2022), showcase his soulful voice, deep lyrics, and strong commitment to social justice. Known for his warm, uplifting music, Fearon remains a respected figure in reggae, continuing to tour and inspire audiences worldwide.
