Steel Pulse and Tommy Lee Sparta announced for SunSplash Reggae Festival

The SunSplash Reggae Festival has announced two major names for its 2026 edition: Legendary roots reggae band Steel Pulse and Jamaican dancehall artist Tommy Lee Sparta are set to perform on July 5, 2026, in The Hague, Netherlands. With this announcement, the festival brings together two artists from different generations and styles within Jamaican music — combining classic roots reggae with the darker, modern energy of dancehall.

Steel Pulse, one of the most influential reggae bands to emerge from the UK, have been carrying the message of roots reggae for nearly five decades. Known for timeless songs such as “Your House,” “Roller Skates,” and “Steppin’ Out,” the band has remained a powerful voice for social justice, equality, and conscious reggae music. Their energetic live shows and unmistakable sound continue to attract reggae fans around the world.

On the other side of the spectrum is Tommy Lee Sparta, one of dancehall’s most distinctive and controversial artists. The Jamaican performer is known for his dark, hypnotic style and hits like “Psycho,” “Spartan Soldier,” and “Uncle Demon.” His performances bring a completely different energy to the stage and highlight the evolving diversity of Caribbean music.

By combining a legendary roots band with a modern dancehall act, SunSplash Reggae Festival is aiming to attract a wide audience of reggae and dancehall fans.

More artists for the SunSplash Reggae Festival 2026 are expected to be announced in the coming months. The event promises a full day of reggae culture, music, and positive vibes in The Hague.
