
The acclaimed Boston-based dub collective Flying Vipers is set to perform at Podium De Piek in Vlissingen on Friday, April 24, 2026. Th They are known for their raw, analog approach to reggae and dub. The band promises an immersive live experience rooted in classic sound system culture.
Formed in 2015 in a basement just outside Boston, Flying Vipers built their reputation on a distinctive, tape-driven sound. Their early cassette releases, The Green Tape and The Copper Tape, were fully produced on a vintage 4-track recorder and mixed live. Capturing the spirit of traditional dub pioneers while maintaining a fresh, modern edge.
The group performs as a seven-piece band, featuring twin brothers Marc and John Beaudette on drums and bass. Alongside seasoned musicians from the New England reggae scene. With decades of combined experience, they have shared stages with legendary acts such as Burning Spear, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Steel Pulse, The Skatalites and Hollie Cook.
In 2020, Flying Vipers released their debut full-length album Cuttings via Jump Up Records. Earning critical acclaim for its deep, instrumental dub sound. More recently, the band made their debut on Easy Star Records with the 7-inch single “Show Me,”. The single is eaturing the soulful vocals of Kellee Webb. Marking a new chapter in their evolving sound.
The Vlissingen show will also feature High Tide Sounds, setting the tone with a warm selection of roots and dub. Audiences can expect a night of heavy basslines, live mixing, and hypnotic rhythms — a true celebration of sound system culture.
