A new reality in the reggae scene arrives from Italy: IZN Anbessas. A crew composed of three central figures: Ras Marcel, Zeb Lion, and Light Adey. November 2 marks the official release of their first album: Addis Ababa. The album title is intended as a heartfelt tribute to Africa, and in particular to Ethiopia, considered the New Jerusalem. It is a double release: one on vinyl and one in digital format. The album cover artwork was created entirely by hand by two talented artists: Cosimo Grecucci and Ras Julio.
The digital version of “Addis Ababa” consists of 12 tracks, available on the Bandcamp platform of Word Sound and Power Collective (https://wspc.bandcamp.com/album/addis-ababa), an organization that, among other activities, raises funds for elderly Rastafarians in Jamaica who, despite their extraordinary human and cultural contribution to the island and the world, often find themselves in critical situations, without access to any form of government welfare.

All proceeds from the album will be donated to this humanitarian cause, which was the main reason behind the creation of the entire IZN Anbessas project. Addis Ababa is therefore a reggae album that aims not only to spread Rastafarian vibes to the four corners of the earth, but also to make a concrete contribution to a humanitarian cause of crucial importance.
The album embraces all styles of reggae, with a deliberate stylistic choice that is recognizable, with meditative but also ironic and entertaining songs: the intention was to create original sounds with a mix of voices, melodies, and ample space for the chromatic harmonica, seeking to preserve spontaneity, naturalness, and authenticity.
