Steel Pulse celebrates 50th anniversary in Eindhoven

Steel Pulse is coming to Eindhoven for a very special evening. The British reggae collective Steel Pulse has been fighting against greed and materialism with the same passion for 50 years as they did at the start of their career. With an impressive repertoire of roots reggae. They are considered one of the pioneers who helped shape the genre into what it is today.

Over the years, Steel Pulse built a loyal fan base. Attracting both reggae loyalists and British punks (they’ve opened for bands like The Clash. The Stranglers, and XTC), and their musical legacy continues to inspire people of all ages. With their debut album Handsworth Revolution (1978), they made a mark on British reggae history. Earning a spot opening for Bob Marley, and even winning a Grammy. Albums like State of Emergency (1988), Vex (1994), and Rage and Fury (1997) are essential in the collection of any true reggae fan.

In a world full of conflict and turmoil, their most recent album Mass Manipulation (2019) offers their own response to systemic greed, racial injustice, corruption, and deceit. Join us on Friday, March 21, to celebrate 50 years of Steel Pulse’s greatest moments in our Main Hall!
