Dordrecht will receive a serious dose of reggae in 2026! Music venue Bibelot, Reggae Central and Rastaplas Festival are joining forces for a special concert series. With this collaboration, the three organizations aim to strengthen the reggae genre in the region. Provide a stage for the biggest artists in the scene.
The concert series at Bibelot kicks off on February 22 with Junior Kelly, one of the most beloved voices in modern reggae. On April 12, roots-reggae star Alborosie takes the stage. He is followed on May 15 by Rootsriders & Mo Ali with a Bob Marley Tribute. On May 31, ‘Mr. Fix It’ Winston Francis arrives. He is an icon in the world of ska, rocksteady and reggae since the 1960s.
During the summer it’s time for Rastaplas Festival (July 17 & 18), after which the concert series continues with the versatile — and Grammy Award–winning — Kabaka Pyramid on October 8.
Benefit concert
Prior to the concert series, a benefit night on February 7 will be held to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, the strongest storm to hit the island in 174 years. Performing live will be Benjahmin Ceesay & The Fiyah Nation Band. All proceeds from this evening will go to Mommie’s Place & Community, a local initiative dedicated to shelter, support and recovery within the affected community.
