De organisatie van Rastaplas Festival heeft Earl16 aangekondigd voor zaterdag 16 juli. Earl John Daley (Earl16, Earl Sixteen) groeide op in Kingston, Jamaica. Hij werd beinvloed door Amerikaanse Soul en Jamaicaanse artiesten als Dennis Brown. In de jaren 70 nam Earl16 o.a een aantal nummers met Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry op in de Lone Ark Studio.
